Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven in the Philippines, is accelerating its digital transformation initiatives as it expands its nationwide retail network and introduces more technology-driven customer experiences.

During its Annual Stockholders’ Meeting, PSC reported record system-wide sales of ₱99.4 billion in 2025, while highlighting investments in technology, store modernization, supply chain improvements, and digital payment solutions as key drivers of future growth.

The company ended 2025 with 4,491 7-Eleven stores nationwide, up from 4,130 stores the previous year, strengthening its position as one of the country’s largest convenience retail networks.

Cashless payments expand to more than 4,000 stores

A major milestone in PSC’s digital transformation roadmap is the expansion of cashless payment acceptance across its store network.

Initially rolled out to more than 1,000 stores by the end of 2025, cashless payment capability expanded to cover over 4,000 stores by the end of May 2026. Customers can now complete transactions using credit cards, debit cards, QR Ph, e-wallets, and other digital payment methods.

The wider adoption of digital payments aims to provide faster checkout experiences while helping PSC improve operational efficiency and respond to changing consumer preferences.

Our focus now is on execution, opening the right stores, deepening how we serve customers, and scaling the digital and payment capabilities we built this year,” said Richard Lee, President of Philippine Seven Corporation.

Technology investments support next phase of growth

Beyond digital payments, PSC is investing in store modernization, technology infrastructure, supply chain capabilities, and operational improvements to support long-term growth.

The company said these investments are designed to make everyday shopping more convenient for customers while enabling more responsive and efficient business operations.

PSC’s 2025 performance included ₱95.1 billion in revenues, up 7.2% from ₱88.7 billion in 2024, and ₱3.6 billion in net income, reflecting continued business resilience amid evolving consumer conditions.

New leadership continues innovation focus

Philippine Seven Corporation strengthens its retail technology strategy with wider cashless payment adoption, store expansion, and investments in digital capabilities to enhance customer convenience.

The company also entered a new leadership phase in 2025, with Richard Lee assuming the role of President in July 2025, while Jose Victor Paterno transitioned to Chairman of the Board.

PSC said the leadership transition maintains continuity in its strategy focused on sustainable expansion, operational excellence, and innovation.

“As the Board, our focus remains on sustaining that momentum and creating lasting value for our shareholders and the communities we serve,” Paterno said.

Digital retail transformation reshapes convenience shopping

With continued investments in digital payments and technology-enabled operations, PSC aims to strengthen 7-Eleven’s role in the evolving Philippine retail landscape.

The company’s expansion of cashless transactions reflects the growing shift toward digital-first shopping experiences, where convenience, speed, and accessibility are becoming key factors in customer engagement.
