EDISON DY ONG brings to AI Times experience in radio, print, internet and mobile journalism.
A journalist, by profession and vocation, for over four decades, he has transitioned from print to digital journalism.
The shift started in the 1990s as Founding On-Line Editor of Philippine Star-Internet (online edition of national newspaper Philippine Star.
In the early 1980s, he wrote on science and technology as an Associated Press stringer, Manila Correspondent of UK-based Gemini News Service, and managing editor of A.T (Appropriate Technology) 80 magazine.
He corresponded for InfoTech section of Manila Bulletin and ComputerWorld Philippines. He did editorial work for online media Enterprise Innovation, and reviewed gadgets for upgrademag.com.
He produced and hosted “KULIT and IT on Air”, live radio talk shows on information and communications technology aired on Angel Radio DZAR 1026 AM for several broadcast season. He started a podcast, “Be Essential” post-pandemic era.
He is co-founder of the Information and Communications Technology Journalist Association of the Philippines (aka Cyberpress Philippines).
He holds an AB Journalism degree from the University of Santos Tomas. His most current supplementary trainings are the Reuters Training Course: Introduction to Digital Journalism, sponsored by Facebook Journalism Project (2021) and Workshop in AI Communications conducted by AI Centre of Excellence (2025).
When not writing, he does documentation photography. Photography is one of his interests since 1980.
REYNALDO “REY” VICENTE brings substantial experience in research, media, and events. He previously served as Research and Events Director of Media G8way Corp., publisher of Computerworld Philippines, PC World Philippines, and IT Resource, where he led IT and market research initiatives and industry events.
Prior to this, he was Research Head for a business publication. Rey also co-founded and served as Managing Editor of Upgrade Magazine, an online IT publication.
Today, he is co-founder and Editor of AI Times Magazine, driving coverage on Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. Rey holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, major in Economics, from the University of Santo Tomas.
JOEL PINAROC has more than 20 years of experience in journalism across online and print platforms. He has held various editorial roles in Philippine-based and international media organizations in Singapore, Hong Kong, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He is currently a desk editor for a national newspaper based in Manila and serves as a Contributing Editor for AI Times.
In 2024, he founded TechTravelMonitor.com, a technology and lifestyle news website.
LANIE CENTINA DE LEON is a publishing and media professional with extensive experience in editorial coordination, advertising sales, and strategic partnerships.
She began her career at Media G8way Corp. as a Research Assistant (1997–2007), and later became Editorial Coordinator (2007). In 2008, she served as Account Manager, handling major technology publications including Computerworld Philippines, PC World Philippines, and IT Resource. The company ceased operations in 2013.
Afterwards, she co-founded Upgrade Magazine, where she currently serves as Marketing Director.
She is also the Co-Founder & Head of Advertising & Partnerships of AI TIMES, a technology-focused online magazine. In this role, she leads advertising sales, manages partnerships with brands and PR agencies, coordinates press releases and sponsored content, and works closely with the editorial team to support the publication’s growth and business development.
