Canon Philippines has expanded its support for the country’s growing creator economy with the launch of two new initiatives—Canon Creator Camp and the Canon Campus Tour—during its Creator Experience Day held on July 16, 2026, in Mandaluyong City.
Centered on the theme “One Canon. Many Stories.”, the event showcased Canon’s latest imaging technologies while highlighting its commitment to helping aspiring and professional creators develop their skills and careers.
At the heart of the event were two key products designed for today’s content creation landscape. The Canon EOS R6 V features a 32.5-megapixel sensor, open-gate recording, and active cooling technology, enabling creators to produce high-quality photo and video content during extended shooting sessions. Meanwhile, the Canon PIXMA MegaTank printer lineup offers wireless printing, touchscreen controls, smart app connectivity, and ink-saving technology for home, school, studio, and office use.
Beyond product demonstrations, Canon introduced the Canon Campus Tour, a nationwide outreach program that will bring hands-on experiences, learning sessions, and creator tools directly to schools and universities. The initiative aims to give students and aspiring creators easier access to Canon technologies and creative education opportunities.
Complementing this effort is Canon Creator Camp, a community-driven program designed to help creators sharpen their storytelling, photography, videography, and content production skills through workshops and collaborative sessions.
The event also featured a panel discussion with Filipino creators, including filmmakers Karl Patacsil and Magic Liwanag, who discussed visual storytelling using the EOS R6 V. Host and educator Nicole Shane Gonzales and digital illustrator James “Squeegool” Claridades shared insights on how Canon’s printing solutions support their creative workflows.
Through these initiatives, Canon is positioning itself not only as an imaging technology provider but also as a catalyst for creator development, supporting the next generation of Filipino storytellers through education, community engagement, and access to professional-grade tools.
