Converge ICT Solutions Inc. (PSE: CNVRG), through its digital infrastructure arm Pentagon Digital Global Corp., has secured a Green Lane Certificate of Endorsement from the Department of Trade and Industry–Board of Investments (DTI-BOI) for its Angeles Data Center in Pampanga.

The facility has been formally classified as a “Strategic Investment” under Executive Order No. 18, giving the project access to streamlined regulatory clearances and investment facilitation as Converge expands into data center infrastructure, enterprise cloud computing, and carrier-neutral colocation.

Faster deployment of critical compute capacity

The Green Lane designation places the project under the BOI’s Strategic Investment Priority Plan (SIPP), the national framework for high-impact investments. It enables simultaneous processing of permits across government agencies, dedicated investment assistance, and key account management.

Converge said the streamlined process is expected to reduce the time required to deploy additional computing capacity and accelerate key project milestones.

“Securing Green Lane status for our Angeles Data Center underscores the vital role digital infrastructure plays in nation-building,” said Dennis Anthony H. Uy, CEO and Co-Founder of Converge. “With this strategic designation, we are eliminating regulatory friction to deploy resilient, world-class compute capacity faster.”

Data center expands Converge’s technology footprint

Located in Angeles City, Pampanga, the data center is integrated with Converge’s nationwide fiber-optic backbone. It is designed to support growing enterprise requirements for high-density computing, cloud workloads, and regional data storage.

The project represents a strategic expansion of Converge’s technology portfolio beyond broadband connectivity, positioning the company as a digital infrastructure provider supporting enterprise cloud and data center requirements.

DTI Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Dr. Ceferino Rodolfo Jr. said the investment aligns with national industrial priorities and the development of infrastructure needed for long-term economic resilience.

DTI Director and BOI Investments Assistance Center Head Ernesto De Los Reyes said the Green Lane initiative provides greater predictability for strategic investors and currently oversees ₱6.36 trillion in strategic developments.

Converge Chief Finance Officer Robert Leo Yu said continued collaboration with the DTI-BOI will help accelerate the Angeles Data Center and future projects aimed at strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure.
