Globe recorded its strongest network performance so far in 2026 in August, according to the latest Telco Report Card from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), as the company continues investing in network upgrades and resilience.
Globe posted an overall score of 81.5, up 4.4 points from January. Its average download speed also reached a 2026 high of 45.9 Mbps, 5.1% faster than July and 26% higher than the 36.5 Mbps recorded at the start of the year.
Network quality improved to 71.2, compared with 69.2 in January, while latency remained at 20 milliseconds.
The performance comes amid continued collaboration between telecommunications providers, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), and the government to improve connectivity and service reliability across the Philippines.
Globe invested ₱26.3 billion in capital expenditures during the first half of 2026, with 91% allocated to data-related initiatives. The company has also focused on network consistency and resilience, including its Automated Outage Response technology.
According to Globe, the system can retain up to 50% of data connectivity during network outages, compared with less than 10% without the technology, by automatically optimizing nearby cell sites.
The company also expanded connectivity in underserved areas. In July, Globe activated mobile services in 52 previously unserved Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), completing its commitment to provide connectivity across all 180 project locations under a DICT connectivity initiative.
Globe said the network improvements reflect its continuing focus on speed, reliability, automation and broader digital access for customers nationwide.
