Kingston Technology has retained its position as the world’s leading third-party DRAM module supplier, capturing an estimated 62% market share in 2025, according to the latest revenue rankings from market research firm TrendForce.
TrendForce reported that the global DRAM module market generated approximately US$21.2 billion in revenue in 2025, up 59% year over year from 2024. The increase was driven by rising DRAM prices and stronger shipment volumes in the second half of the year. Kingston’s revenue grew 48% year over year, reinforcing its leadership in a market where the top five suppliers accounted for 77% of total revenue.
The market underwent significant changes in 2025 as demand for memory expanded alongside enterprise and data center investments. While manufacturers initially increased DDR4 inventories amid tariff concerns and planned product phase-outs, growing demand from cloud service providers supporting agentic AI workloads later drove higher server DRAM consumption. This shift tightened memory allocations for PC and consumer applications and contributed to rising prices.
The growing demand for server memory highlights the expanding role of enterprise computing, data centers, and AI infrastructure in shaping the global DRAM market. Kingston said its procurement scale and inventory management capabilities helped it respond to changing market conditions and support channel partners throughout the year.
Beyond its traditional channel business, Kingston’s business-to-business operations also recorded strong growth as enterprise, data center, and industrial customers sought reliable supply, validated memory solutions, and long-term support. TrendForce noted that DRAM module manufacturers increasingly focused on industrial and enterprise server markets while accelerating their transition to DDR5-based product portfolios.
Kingston’s memory portfolio spans DDR4 and DDR5 solutions for a broad range of applications, including client PCs, gaming systems, servers, data centers, AI infrastructure, industrial and embedded systems, surveillance, and automation. The company said its broad product range and experience in enterprise and industrial deployments position it to support customers as computing requirements evolve.
Kingston attributed its continued market leadership to its long-term strategy, supplier relationships, inventory management, and commitment to delivering memory solutions across multiple industries.
