Philippine Blockchain Week 2026 unveils its new theme, building on the momentum of last year’s “Decoded” event and signaling the next phase of blockchain adoption in the Philippines.

Philippine Blockchain Week 2026 (PBW 2026) is set to return from June 19 to 21 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, positioning itself as one of the country’s largest gatherings focused on blockchain, Web3, and the evolving digital economy.

With the theme “Decoded: Deployed,” this year’s edition highlights a shift from conceptual discussions to real-world implementation of blockchain technologies across finance, gaming, governance, and digital identity systems.

Organizers expect over 15,000 attendees, surpassing last year’s turnout and marking the event’s biggest edition since its launch in 2022. The growth reflects increasing mainstream interest in blockchain applications within the Philippines’ rapidly expanding digital ecosystem.

According to PBW President and Co-Founder Janelle Barretto, the 2026 edition is designed to blend industry discourse with cultural engagement, bringing together business leaders, developers, creators, and communities in a multi-format experience.

A key highlight is the Philippine Blockchain Leadership Forum, an invitation-only summit in collaboration with the Blockchain Council of the Philippines. The forum will gather policymakers and industry leaders to discuss blockchain’s role alongside emerging technologies such as AI and cybersecurity.

The event will also feature the “Decoded: Deployed” main conference, where global speakers will present real-world blockchain deployments, including use cases in financial inclusion, data ownership, and public infrastructure systems.

Other major components include the Innovation Expo, showcasing active Web3 platforms in fintech and gaming, and the Alt+Tab Gaming & Music Festival, which connects blockchain to youth culture through esports, gaming, and entertainment experiences.

Additional programming such as hackathons, startup–venture capital matchmaking, and networking events aim to accelerate collaboration between builders and investors in the Web3 space.

The Philippines continues to emerge as a key blockchain market in Southeast Asia, driven by its mobile-first population, strong gaming culture, and growing adoption of digital financial tools. From play-to-earn ecosystems to fintech innovation, blockchain is increasingly integrated into everyday digital experiences.

Industry leaders emphasize that the technology is transitioning from experimentation to execution. Initiatives like the proposed CADENA Act and blockchain-based transparency systems reflect growing interest in applying distributed ledger technology to governance and accountability.

Donald Lim of the Blockchain Council of the Philippines noted that the current focus is on translating early adoption into scalable systems that deliver long-term impact across industries.

As blockchain moves further into mainstream application, PBW 2026 positions itself as a convergence point for innovation, policy, and community—where the foundations of the next phase of the digital economy are actively being built.
