San Beda University is accelerating its digital transformation efforts as it celebrates its 125th anniversary, strengthening campus connectivity and deploying smart technologies through its partnership with PLDT Enterprise.
The initiative supports San Beda University’s goal of becoming the first fully digital campus in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. The project spans the university’s campuses in Mendiola, Manila, Taytay, Rizal, and Alabang, focusing on enhanced connectivity, modernized digital platforms, and smarter campus operations.
PLDT Enterprise is providing enterprise-grade connectivity, dedicated internet access, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and network support to improve access to digital learning resources and online services. These upgrades aim to deliver a more seamless and reliable experience for students, faculty, and administrators.
As part of the modernization effort, San Beda University has also transformed its website using Salesforce Experience Cloud, enabling improved access to information and digital services for its academic community. The university has further strengthened campus security through the deployment of a facial recognition access system at its Mendiola campus, with expansion to the Taytay campus planned within the year.
According to PLDT Enterprise, the collaboration is designed to support a more connected, secure, and future-ready learning environment by integrating connectivity, cloud-based platforms, network infrastructure, and smart campus technologies.
The initiative reflects the growing role of digital infrastructure in higher education, helping institutions improve student experiences, enhance academic delivery, strengthen campus security, and build scalable systems capable of supporting future educational needs.
