TP in the Philippines opens its 29th site as it celebrates 30 years of operations in the country. Joining TP officials at the inauguration were industry partners from IBPAP, HIMAP, SM Prime Holdings, and the Pasay City local government unit (LGU).
TP in the Philippines has opened its 29th site at Four E-Com Center within the SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City, expanding its local operations and reinforcing its strategy of combining Filipino talent with artificial intelligence (AI) and digital capabilities.
The new operations hub is expected to generate more than 1,000 job opportunities for Filipinos. It is TP’s second site in Pasay, complementing its existing operations at the MAAX Building, which accommodates more than 5,000 customer experts.
The expansion comes as global businesses increasingly seek business services providers that integrate human expertise, digital technologies, and AI to manage complex customer interactions and operational workflows.
“AI is reshaping work while expanding what people can achieve,” said Rahul Jolly, CEO of TP in the Philippines. He emphasized the importance of combining AI with employees’ expertise and emotional intelligence to support more complex work.
AI is transforming the IT-BPM industry by automating standardized tasks while creating opportunities for employees to focus on problem-solving, specialized knowledge, customer relationships, and oversight of AI-enabled processes. Capabilities such as analytics, workflow redesign, and AI-enabled operations are also becoming increasingly important as businesses modernize their services.
According to industry figures cited in the announcement, the Philippine IT-BPM industry generated approximately US$40.3 billion in revenue and employed 1.89 million people in 2025. The country’s share of global IT-BPM services headcount also increased from 15% in 2022 to 17% in 2025, based on data attributed to the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
TP’s expansion reflects the growing demand for business services that go beyond cost efficiency by combining workforce expertise with technology and industry knowledge. Its strategy centers on a hybrid workforce in which employees and AI-enabled systems work together to improve operations and handle more complex tasks.
The new site was inaugurated with representatives from the Pasay City government, IBPAP, industry organizations, SM Prime Holdings, and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) in attendance.
PEZA Director General Theo Panga, whose message was played during the program, highlighted the role of the IT-BPM sector in the Philippine economy and welcomed TP’s continued investment in local talent and operations.
TP has operated in the Philippines for 30 years and employs approximately 60,000 people nationwide, with operations across Metro Manila and regional IT hubs including Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Clark, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Laoag, and General Santos.
