A10 Networks has introduced the Thunder 7468 AI Firewall, a dedicated security appliance designed to help enterprises protect Generative AI (GenAI) applications while maintaining the performance and scalability required for large-scale deployments.
The new AI security platform was also recognized at Interop Tokyo 2026, receiving the Best of Show Award – Runner-up Grand Prize in the Security for AI category for its approach to delivering real-time AI protection through a high-performance hardware architecture.
The Thunder 7468 AI Firewall provides AI Guardrail protection for prompts and model responses, helping organizations defend against emerging risks such as prompt injection attacks, sensitive data exposure, and misuse of AI systems.
Built for enterprise environments, the appliance supports multiple deployment options, including Inline, Forward Proxy, and Reverse Proxy configurations, while enabling policy-based AI governance without requiring agents on endpoints.
A10 said the Thunder 7468 AI Firewall can support large-scale AI environments with more than 30,000 concurrent users and includes SSL hardware offload capabilities to maintain performance during secure AI traffic processing.
According to the Interop Tokyo judging panel, the solution introduces a dedicated hardware-based approach to AI security by enabling organizations to implement AI Guardrails in real time without affecting user experience.
As businesses continue expanding their use of generative AI, A10 Networks said it remains focused on helping organizations establish secure, scalable, and governed AI infrastructures.
