Acer has expanded its Predator gaming portfolio with the new Predator Atlas 7, a compact Windows 11 handheld designed to deliver high-performance gaming in a 7-inch form factor, alongside Project DualPlay Mini, a concept device that combines gaming and mobile productivity.
The Predator Atlas 7 is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics, with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x memory and 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. It features a 7-inch Full HD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, VRR support and 500-nit brightness.
For sustained gaming performance, Acer equipped the handheld with a dual-fan cooling system featuring a Predator AeroBlade metal fan and Vortex Flow technology. The device also carries an 80Wh battery, while dual Thunderbolt 4 ports provide high-bandwidth connectivity for displays, docks and accessories.
The Atlas 7 also incorporates gaming-focused controls, including optional TMR joysticks, Hall-effect analog triggers and a built-in fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 provide wireless connectivity.
Meanwhile, Project DualPlay Mini explores a different approach to portable computing. The 8-inch concept device can switch between a gaming handheld and mini-laptop configuration, with a built-in physical keyboard for gaming and productivity tasks. It can also connect to an external display, positioning the concept as a potential mobile workstation as well as a gaming device.
The Predator Atlas 7 is scheduled to launch in North America in Q4 2026 and EMEA in November 2026. Project DualPlay Mini remains a concept and is not currently a commercial product.
