Ocampo, Office of Special Concerns Director, Department of Tourism; Wil Dasovich, Lead Navigator; and Adam Hu, BYD & Denza Philippines Country Head; Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO, ACMobility; Bob Palanca, Managing Director, BYD Cars Philippines; Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure, ACMobility; and Dino Obias, Chief Marketing Officer, ACMobility at the Guinness World Records awarding to BYD Cars Philippines during the Manila International Auto Show 2026.

The “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” campaign, led by BYD Cars Philippines in partnership with ACMobility and the Department of Tourism, has demonstrated the real-world viability of electric mobility in the Philippines after completing a 3,500-kilometer journey across 102 cities and municipalities nationwide.

Lead navigator Wil Dasovich celebrates the conclusion of the 22-day “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” campaign alongside the Bahandian Folkloric Ensemble at BYD General Santos City, marking the final stop of the journey from North to South.

Spanning Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, the convoy featured New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), including battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The drive, headed by navigator Wil Dasovich, combined road travel, cultural immersion, and live demonstrations showing that EV adoption in the country is no longer theoretical but already operational.

Official lead navigator Wil Dasovich stands with the BYD Shark 6 DMO in Laoag, marking the inaugural stop of the “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” campaign.

At the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), the campaign earned two Guinness World Records: the most cities visited in a continuous journey by a BEV using the BYD eMAX 7, and the most cities visited in a continuous journey by a PHEV using the BYD Shark 6 DMO. The achievement underscores the durability and reliability of electrified vehicles across varied Philippine terrain.

Supporting this milestone is a growing nationwide EV ecosystem, with over 160 charging points installed across malls, offices, hotels, residential areas, and commercial hubs. These charging stations, integrated with the Evro App for location tracking, enable long-distance EV travel across the archipelago.

ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala emphasized that EV adoption is now supported by a complete ecosystem—from vehicle purchase to charging accessibility—through the company’s expanding Charging Hubs and the Philippine EV Spine Network.

The campaign reinforces a clear message: the Philippines is ready for electric mobility, with infrastructure and technology already in place to support nationwide EV travel.
