Converge ICT Solutions Inc. emerged as the top-performing fixed broadband provider in the Philippines during the second quarter of 2026, recording the fastest download speeds and the lowest latency among major internet service providers, according to the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) latest Oplan Bantay Signal report.
The report showed that Converge achieved an average network latency of just 5 milliseconds (ms), the lowest in the country. Low latency is critical for applications requiring real-time responsiveness, including online gaming, video conferencing, cloud services, and emerging AI-powered applications.
Converge also posted an industry-leading download speed of 158 Mbps in June, reinforcing its position as a key provider of high-performance broadband services. The company further reported an 84% decline in customer complaints from January to June, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve network quality and customer experience.
DICT Secretary Henry Aguda noted that Converge demonstrated significant improvements during the second quarter, citing the substantial reduction in customer complaints and the company’s responsiveness in addressing service issues.
The DICT also reported that no area served by Converge was classified as a “crisis city”—locations where average broadband speeds fall below 15 Mbps—during the monitoring period. Only three cities within its service footprint recorded average speeds between 15 Mbps and 30 Mbps, indicating areas targeted for further enhancement.
Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and Co-Founder of Converge, said the company’s network performance reflects sustained investments in infrastructure and service improvements. He highlighted that upload speeds reached a six-month high while latency remained best-in-class, supporting a better overall user experience.
Beyond network performance, Converge was recognized during the National Information and Communications Technology (NICT) Month Culminating Night, receiving the “Bayani sa Last Mile” award at the Digital Bayanihan Awards for expanding broadband access to geographically isolated and underserved communities.
The latest DICT findings add to Converge’s growing list of industry recognitions. Earlier this year, the company swept major fixed broadband categories in Ookla®’s Speedtest Intelligence report, earning “Best Internet,” “Fastest Internet,” and “Best Fixed Latency” honors for the first half of 2026.
Converge continues to operate the country’s largest fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network by port count among major broadband providers. As of May 2026, its last-mile fiber infrastructure had expanded to more than 960,000 fiber kilometers, supporting nationwide connectivity and future network growth.
