Businesses looking to reduce operating costs are increasingly examining the technology behind everyday printing, where energy consumption, maintenance, and ink expenses can add up over time.
Epson Philippines is highlighting its PrecisionCore Heat-Free Technology as an alternative to conventional laser printing. Unlike laser printers that use heat to bond toner to paper, Epson’s piezoelectric technology ejects ink without applying heat during the ink ejection process.
According to Epson’s published comparisons, applicable Heat-Free models can use up to 85% less power and require up to 59% fewer replacement parts than comparable laser printers. Actual results vary depending on the model, print volume, settings, and operating conditions.
The technology is also positioned around reducing the ongoing cost of printing. Epson’s low cost-per-page business copier portfolio includes the WorkForce Pro EM-C8100 and EM-C8101, with estimated costs of ₱0.75 per color page and ₱0.23 per black page. The WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 has an estimated black-and-white cost of ₱0.18 per page.
Epson calculates cost per page based on the suggested retail price of relevant ink supplies and their ISO page yields. The figure covers estimated ink costs only and excludes paper, electricity, maintenance, replacement parts, and the printer’s purchase price.
The company said businesses can gain a clearer picture of printing expenses by looking beyond the initial hardware price and considering recurring costs such as ink, energy, and maintenance.
To help organizations assess these expenses, Epson offers a free print cost assessment. An Epson specialist reviews an organization’s existing print fleet and operating costs, including cost per page, energy consumption, maintenance, and replacement requirements, then calculates potential savings from eligible high-yield Heat-Free printing solutions.
The Epson WorkForce Pro EM-C8100, EM-C8101, and WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500 are available through authorized Epson Philippines dealers and partners nationwide.
Note: Actual power consumption, replacement-part requirements, ink yields, and cost per page may vary depending on model, print content, settings, usage, and operating conditions.
