FedEx Philippines Partners with Feed the Children Philippines to Deliver Essential Hygiene Support to Remote Communities in Bohol and Zamboanga del Norte
Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has partnered with international non-profit Feed the Children to distribute hygiene kits to 2,400 grade school students from fishing and farming communities in Bohol and Zamboanga del Norte, helping promote better health and school readiness.
The initiative is part of FedEx Cares, the company’s global community engagement program, which focuses on improving the health and well-being of children through access to essential hygiene supplies and health education.

Fourteen FedEx employee volunteers assembled and delivered hygiene kits containing soap, shampoo, face towels, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The program also included hygiene orientation sessions in 11 schools, encouraging students to adopt healthy daily habits.
According to the program, proper handwashing with soap can significantly reduce diarrheal diseases and respiratory infections, while improved oral hygiene addresses a growing public health concern. The Philippine Dental Association reports that 72% of Filipinos experience tooth decay, with school-aged children among the most affected—contributing to increased school absenteeism.
FedEx Philippines Managing Director Maribeth Espinosa said the initiative aims to provide children with the basic resources they need to stay healthy, remain in school, and achieve their full potential.
Since 2023, FedEx and Feed the Children have supported the needs of more than 5,000 children across the Philippines through similar community programs.
