FedEx has broken ground on the expansion of its Clark gateway facility in Clark, reinforcing the Philippines’ position as a key trans-shipment hub within the company’s Asia-Pacific logistics network.

Once completed, the upgraded facility will span over 78,000 square meters and feature enhanced cargo handling systems designed to improve shipment flow, operational reliability, and service flexibility for express, e-commerce, and freight logistics.

The expansion is expected to strengthen cross-border trade capabilities as demand for faster and more resilient supply chains continues to grow across the region.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Philippine government officials, including Frederick Go and Cristina Roque, underscoring the project’s importance in supporting national trade and investment growth.

Also present were executives from key development and infrastructure partners, including the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and Clark-related development agencies, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the expansion.

Masamichi Ujiie said the upgraded gateway reflects FedEx’s commitment to building a more resilient logistics network that enhances connectivity for Philippine businesses and global markets.

Construction is set to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with Robinsons Land Corporation serving as project developer. The facility design includes sustainability features such as energy-efficient systems, LED lighting, rainwater collection, and provisions for future solar integration.

FedEx said the expansion supports its broader strategy of improving network reliability and strengthening global trade connectivity across the Asia-Pacific region.
