Samsung Philippines is highlighting energy-efficient cooling solutions as the Philippines continues to experience extreme summer temperatures, with heat indices in some areas reaching as high as 51°C.
As households across the country rely more heavily on air conditioners and cooling appliances to cope with the rising heat, electricity consumption and energy costs have also increased significantly. This has prompted a growing demand for smarter, more efficient home cooling technologies.
One of Samsung’s key solutions is the Samsung WindFree AI Expert Air Conditioner, designed to provide consistent cooling while reducing unnecessary energy use through AI-driven optimization and inverter technology.
The system uses WindFree™ Cooling technology, which disperses air gently through micro-holes to maintain a comfortable room temperature without the harsh direct airflow of traditional air conditioners. It also features multiple AI-powered wind modes, including Max Wind, Surround Wind, Long Reach Wind, and Down Wind, allowing users to tailor airflow based on room conditions and personal comfort.
Samsung said the unit’s AI Energy Mode analyzes usage patterns and room conditions to automatically optimize cooling performance, switching between fast cooling and energy-saving modes once the desired temperature is reached.
Through SmartThings connectivity, users can also monitor energy consumption in real time, receive alerts on inefficient usage, and automate cooling schedules using features such as Welcome Care and Away Care.
Beyond technology upgrades, experts continue to emphasize simple energy-saving habits such as reducing direct sunlight indoors, unplugging unused devices, and managing air conditioner usage to help minimize electricity costs during peak summer months.
Samsung noted that combining efficient appliances with mindful energy practices can help households stay cool while managing rising power consumption more effectively.
