Fortinet has been recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Hybrid Mesh Firewall, where it was positioned highest for Ability to Execute for the second consecutive year.
The recognition highlights Fortinet’s approach to securing increasingly distributed enterprise environments through a combination of networking, security, cloud, and AI-driven capabilities.
Its FortiGate firewall solutions are powered by custom-built FortiASICs and FortiOS, a common operating system designed to support physical, virtual, cloud-native, and as-a-service deployments. The technology forms part of Fortinet’s AI-Native Security Fabric, providing centralized security and policy capabilities across hybrid environments.
Fortinet said its Hybrid Mesh Firewall solutions support enterprise perimeters, branches, data centers, carrier networks, and managed security environments. Organizations can deploy security through on-premises FortiGate appliances, cloud-based FortiSASE, or hybrid configurations.
The company is also expanding its platform with AI-driven automation and analytics, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and multi-cloud orchestration. These technologies are designed to help security teams automate routine tasks, investigate incidents, manage policies, and prepare for emerging cryptographic threats.
Fortinet is further extending security visibility to IoT and cyber-physical environments through device discovery and monitoring capabilities that can identify connected assets and detect unauthorized changes.
The 2026 recognition marks Fortinet’s 11th Gartner Magic Quadrant recognition across networking and security, according to the company.
