Telecommunications provider Globe Telecom is upgrading its load and promo loan services to make mobile connectivity more accessible for prepaid users, introducing new features that align with evolving digital habits.
The enhanced offering allows Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers to borrow load or promos even with zero balance, ensuring uninterrupted access to calls, texts, and mobile data. The service is designed to support users during emergencies and everyday situations, where connectivity is essential for work, education, and communication.
A key update is Globe’s more flexible repayment system, which now allows loan settlements through promo purchases. Instead of requiring full repayment via traditional reloads, the system automatically deducts up to 50% of the open-access data from a user’s purchased promo to gradually pay off the loan. This approach reflects the growing trend of users opting for data promos over regular load.
Customers can access bite-sized emergency offers for immediate needs, as well as higher-value options like Go59 and EZ50, providing extended data, call, and text benefits. Loan requests can be made through multiple channels, including the GlobeOne app, *143#, SMS, and social platforms.
According to Globe, the initiative is part of its broader push to remove barriers to connectivity, especially during critical moments when users run out of balance. By integrating flexible repayment and instant access to services, the company aims to improve digital inclusion and ensure continuous communication for Filipinos.
The move highlights how telecom providers are leveraging service innovation—not just infrastructure—to address real-world connectivity challenges, particularly in a mobile-first market like the Philippines.
