Globe Telecom is ramping up efforts to improve digital access in the Philippines with an upgraded GFiber Prepaid offering, delivering speeds of up to 300Mbps to meet rising demand for reliable home connectivity.

The move comes as more Filipinos shift to remote work, online learning, and home-based activities amid ongoing energy challenges and rising fuel costs. These trends are accelerating the need for stable, high-speed internet as a core household utility rather than a luxury.

With the upgrade, GFiber Prepaid now offers speeds six times faster than its previous 50Mbps baseline, while maintaining a ₱699 installation fee and including seven days of unlimited internet access. The service is designed to support up to 15 devices simultaneously, enabling households to manage work, education, entertainment, and side businesses without connectivity disruptions.

According to Abigail Cardino, the initiative aligns with broader efforts to ensure Filipino families remain connected and productive during challenging times. By lowering barriers to high-speed internet, Globe aims to accelerate digital inclusion across the country.

Flexible prepaid plans also allow users to manage costs more efficiently, with options such as ₱499 for seven days or ₱1,199 for 30 days of unlimited access—offering affordability alongside performance.

The rollout reflects a wider industry push to expand fiber connectivity and support a growing digital economy. As households increasingly rely on online platforms for work, education, and communication, solutions like GFiber Prepaid highlight how telecom providers are adapting to a more connected, home-centric lifestyle.

By combining accessibility, speed, and flexibility, Globe’s latest offering positions fiber broadband as an essential service—helping Filipino families stay productive, informed, and resilient in an increasingly digital world.
