GoTyme Bank has launched its new Send Money Abroad feature, allowing customers to transfer funds to more than 170 countries and territories directly through the GoTyme Bank app.
Powered by Wise, the service supports transfers in eight major currencies—AUD, CNY, GBP, EUR, JPY, KRW, SGD, and USD—using real mid-market exchange rates and transparent pricing. Customers can view fees, exchange rates, and the exact amount recipients will receive before completing a transaction.
The launch comes amid rising demand for cross-border financial services as more Filipinos use international payments for education, healthcare, travel, business, and family support. According to GoTyme Bank, usage of its international payments services has increased by more than 85% since partnering with Wise Platform last year.
The fully digital service enables users to send money internationally within minutes, without requiring a separate foreign currency account. Customers can also track transfers in real time, providing greater visibility from initiation to delivery.
GoTyme Bank Chief Strategy & Proposition Officer Shern Teo said the new feature is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers who increasingly manage both local and international financial transactions through digital platforms.
The service is also available to foreign nationals residing in the Philippines who hold a GoTyme Bank account, allowing them to send money to their home countries directly from the app.
By integrating Wise’s cross-border payment infrastructure, GoTyme Bank aims to provide faster, more transparent, and cost-effective international money transfers as part of its broader digital banking ecosystem.
