Island Credit Solution (ICS) and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) have formalized a partnership to make access to credit information more secure and convenient through the integration of the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS) into CreditMo.

The integration makes ICS and its CreditMo platform the first Special Accessing Entity (SAE) and credit bureau partner successfully integrated with NIDAS, according to the companies.

Powered by ICS, CreditMo is a digital credit platform that allows individuals to access their credit reports and scores, monitor their credit standing, and receive personalized financial insights and product recommendations based on their credit profiles.

With NIDAS integration, CreditMo users can use their National ID to verify their identity when requesting a credit report. The process is designed to confirm that sensitive credit information is accessed by the rightful individual while simplifying identity verification.

“This collaboration is an opportunity to translate the capabilities of the National ID into a practical digital application that responds to the needs of Filipinos,” said PSA Assistant Secretary Rosalinda P. Bautista, Deputy National Statistician of the PhilSys Registry Office.

One-step identity verification

The NIDAS integration streamlines the process CreditMo users go through when requesting credit information.

Previously, users had to submit an identification document, confirm personal details and undergo a liveness check. With NIDAS, identity verification can be completed using the National ID through a simplified process.

The integration also adds another layer of protection for sensitive credit information. Rather than relying solely on a photograph of an identification document, NIDAS verifies the user’s identity against the National ID database, helping reduce the risk of fraudulent identification and unauthorized access to credit records.

Giving consumers greater visibility into credit

CreditMo is also designed to give individuals greater visibility into their financial profiles. Users can review their credit reports and scores, examine credit history and payment behavior, and receive insights based on their credit information.

Alex Zhu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Island Credit Solution, said the platform aims to shift credit information from being primarily an institutional tool toward something individuals can use to better understand their own financial standing.

The approach is intended to help consumers recognize how their financial behavior affects their credit profile and identify areas they can improve over time.

Supporting financial inclusion

The partnership also supports financial inclusion by giving Filipinos easier access to information that can help them participate more confidently in the formal financial system.

PSA OIC Assistant National Statistician Atty. Henedine P. Palabras said the collaboration supports efforts to strengthen trust, transparency and accessibility across the country’s digital and financial services.

For ICS, improving access to credit information is part of a broader effort to help Filipinos better understand their financial opportunities and make more informed decisions.

Mery Singh, Chief of Staff of Island Credit Solution, said access to the right information can give Filipinos greater ability to take action and pursue financial opportunities.
