Lenovo is expanding Lenovo & Motorola Qira, its personal AI designed to work across compatible Lenovo and Motorola devices, with broader device support, app integrations and market availability announced at Lenovo Innovation World during IFA 2026.
The expansion brings Qira to eligible Lenovo PCs with 16GB of memory, extending access beyond higher-memory configurations. Lenovo said Qira now supports more than 80 PC configurations, along with select tablets and Motorola smartphones.
Qira will also expand to eligible Motorola devices receiving the Android 17 upgrade, including select Edge, Signature and Razr models. The AI will additionally be integrated into the moto watch ultra, making it the first wearable to support Qira. Users can interact with the AI through voice commands, including “Hey Qira.”
A key focus of the update is cross-device productivity. Qira is designed to provide prioritized notification summaries and access to relevant information across devices, helping users continue tasks without repeatedly switching between apps.
Through Lenovo’s collaboration with Workato, Qira will connect with supported services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Slack, Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar. Lenovo is also expanding integrations with Notion and Perplexity for project management and deeper research.
Privacy and security remain central to Qira’s architecture. The system uses a hybrid, local-first approach, prioritizing on-device processing where supported, while personal knowledge-base information is encrypted and stored locally. When cloud processing is required, Lenovo says only the prompt and relevant context needed for the requested experience are transmitted through encrypted cloud services.
Lenovo plans to expand Qira to additional device families and form factors by the end of 2026, although availability and features will vary by device, market and configuration.
