Manulife Investment Management and Trust Corporation (Manulife Investments Philippines) has launched the Manulife Global Diversified Real Asset Feeder Fund, an income-paying unit investment trust fund (UITF) that gives investors access to a diversified portfolio of real assets across global markets.
Previously known as the Manulife Global REIT Feeder Fund, the restructured fund expands its investment scope beyond real estate investment trusts (REITs) to include listed infrastructure, natural resources equities, and U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS).
The launch comes as investors navigate changing market conditions and seek potential sources of income, inflation resilience, and long-term wealth creation. Structural trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization, infrastructure modernization, supply chain reconfiguration, and the energy transition are also driving demand for real assets, including data centers, power networks, transportation infrastructure, and natural resources.
“Real assets can play an important role in helping investors build more resilient portfolios by providing access to diverse sources of income and return,” said Aira Gaspar, president and chief executive officer of Manulife Investments Philippines.
Gaspar said the fund offers investors a professionally managed way to access global real asset opportunities while participating in long-term economic trends and pursuing their income and wealth-building objectives.
The fund aims to deliver income and long-term inflation-adjusted returns through its diversified asset allocation. It is managed by Manulife Investment Management’s Multi-Asset Solutions Team, which oversees the company’s global multi-asset investment strategies.
Investors can access the fund with a minimum investment of US$1,000 or PHP1,000. They may also open a UITF account online through Manulife iFUNDS or contact a Manulife Wealth Specialist for more information.
