Blockchain Council of the Philippines Founder and Management Association of the Philippines President Donald Lim launches Integrity Chain, a blockchain-powered transparency initiative that transforms the country’s call for accountable governance into a system that delivers real results.

Philippine Blockchain Week 2026 will kick off with “Future of Trust: A Leaders Forum on Technology and Governance,” an exclusive gathering focused on building trusted digital systems for finance, governance, and online services.

The invitation-only forum will convene leaders from the technology sector, government agencies, and the business community to discuss how blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital identity, and governance frameworks can strengthen trust in the digital economy.

According to Donald Lim, trust has become a critical foundation of modern economies, with blockchain technology enabling verifiable and scalable digital systems that are resistant to fraud.

The event will center on three major pillars: technology infrastructure, governance frameworks, and trust economies. Discussions will explore how blockchain, AI governance, and digital identity systems can support transparency, accountability, and secure digital transactions.

The forum is being organized by the Global AI Council Philippines, Blockchain Council of the Philippines, Cybersecurity Council of the Philippines, and Data Center Association of the Philippines, with support from Go Digital Philippines and private sector partners.

Henry Aguda, Vince Dizon, and Donald Lim formalize their commitment to transparency, trust, and innovation during the press launch and signing of the Statement of Support for the Integrity Chain. The initiative highlights the growing role of blockchain and emerging technologies in strengthening digital governance and accountability in the Philippines.

Government agencies including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Public Works and Highways are already implementing digital governance initiatives tied to transparency and public accountability.

A key highlight is the Integrity Chain initiative, a blockchain-powered transparency project developed with the DPWH. Organizers said the project has completed its first phase and is moving into a second stage, demonstrating blockchain’s real-world application in anti-corruption and public infrastructure monitoring.

The forum will also spotlight local government units that have already integrated blockchain technology into their operations, signaling broader adoption beyond pilot programs and enterprise use cases.

Mark Gorriceta emphasized the need for governance frameworks that balance innovation with accountability as emerging technologies continue reshaping public and private sector operations.

PBW 2026 ticket holders may apply for access to the Future of Trust forum, which organizers describe as a key platform for advancing conversations around responsible digital transformation in the Philippines and the region.
