The HONOR 600 officially launched in the Philippines on May 14, 2026, but we had already spent over a week using the device ahead of its debut. After some hands-on time, it’s clear that HONOR is pushing this phone as an AI-first smartphone built heavily around mobile photography and content creation.

And honestly, that direction makes sense.

The biggest standout here is the phone’s AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, which transforms still images into short animated clips directly on the device. It feels like HONOR’s answer to the growing demand for fast, social media-ready content creation without needing separate editing apps.

More importantly, it actually works well.

The feature is intuitive and surprisingly fun to use, especially when paired with the phone’s 200MP ultra-clear AI camera system. Users can combine up to three photos and generate animated clips within seconds. It’s one of those features that sounds gimmicky at first, but quickly becomes addictive once you start experimenting with it.

Speaking of cameras, the 200MP main sensor delivers excellent results in most situations. Photos come out detailed, sharp, and vibrant, while HONOR’s AI RAW enhancements noticeably help in low-light shots and nighttime photography. Portraits also look clean, with good edge detection and natural-looking background blur.

We also noticed that photo processing feels significantly faster compared to older HONOR phones equipped with high-resolution sensors. Shots save quickly, image rendering is smoother, and switching between modes feels more responsive overall.

That said, the zoom performance could still use some work.

While the main sensor performs admirably, image quality becomes less consistent once you start pushing the zoom harder. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s one area where the phone falls short of fully matching flagship-level camera systems.

Battery life, meanwhile, is another major win for the HONOR 600.

The device packs a massive 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W HONOR SuperCharge support and 27W reverse charging. In daily use, the phone easily lasts an entire day — even with heavy camera usage, video streaming, gaming, and constant social media browsing.

Despite the huge battery, the phone surprisingly remains slim and comfortable to hold at around 7.8mm thick. HONOR also added IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings, alongside SGS-certified drop resistance, giving the device a more premium and durable feel than expected in this category.

The display also deserves mention. The HONOR 600 sports a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 8000 nits peak HDR brightness. Outdoor visibility is excellent, scrolling feels fluid, and HONOR’s eye comfort technologies help reduce strain during extended viewing sessions.

Overall, we came away liking the HONOR 600 quite a bit despite our relatively short review period. It’s a phone clearly designed for users who love taking photos, creating content, and experimenting with AI-powered features.

If mobile photography is a priority, the HONOR 600 makes a compelling case for itself — Joel Pinaroc
