The PLDT Group’s Enterprise Risk Intelligence Companion Agent (ERICA) has won the 2026 ASEAN Enterprise Innovation Award in the Philippines – Data and AI Category, recognizing its use of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) to improve enterprise risk management.
Presented by the ASEAN Innovation Business Platform (AIBP), the award recognizes digital initiatives that deliver business impact, scalability, and strong governance across Southeast Asia.
Developed in-house by the PLDT Group’s Enterprise Risk Management and Information Technology teams in collaboration with UiPath, ERICA streamlines risk assessments by reducing processes that previously took days to just minutes. This allows risk professionals to focus more on analyzing insights and supporting business decisions.
Despite its automation capabilities, ERICA keeps human oversight at the center of its operations. Every assessment is reviewed and approved by a risk professional before action is taken, reflecting the PLDT Group’s commitment to responsible AI adoption.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from AIBP,” said Leah B. Jimenez, PLDT and Smart FVP and Group Head for Enterprise Risk Management and Chief Data Privacy Officer. She emphasized that ERICA demonstrates how AI can address real business challenges and provide risk intelligence across the organization.
The award was presented during the AIBP Conference and Exhibition Philippines at the Manila Marriott Hotel, with support from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The recognition highlights the growing role of agentic AI in enterprise operations, particularly in automating complex processes while retaining human accountability in critical business decisions.
