PLDT Home has introduced Fiber Always On, a new broadband solution that combines fiber and LTE connectivity in a single modem to help households stay connected during unexpected internet outages.
The service is the first hybrid fiber-LTE broadband offering from a Philippine internet service provider, enabling automatic failover to a built-in LTE connection whenever fiber service becomes unavailable. Once the fiber network is restored, the modem seamlessly switches back without requiring user intervention.

Designed to improve network resilience, Fiber Always On addresses a common challenge faced by broadband users: service interruptions caused by accidental fiber cuts, construction activities, roadworks, pests, or other external factors that can affect fiber infrastructure.
Beyond maintaining connectivity, the modem automatically generates a service repair ticket within 15 minutes of downtime, helping accelerate troubleshooting and restoration efforts while keeping customers online.
According to PLDT Home, the solution is intended to support increasingly connected households where multiple users simultaneously rely on the internet for remote work, online learning, video streaming, gaming, and smart home applications.
The launch reflects a growing industry trend toward hybrid connectivity models that combine fixed broadband and wireless technologies to deliver more reliable internet access and minimize downtime.
Customers who switch to PLDT Home Fiber Plan 1399 and higher can avail of Fiber Always On with waived service fees for the first six months, along with free installation and other promotional benefits.
