Samsung Electronics has introduced its new T7 and T9 microSD cards, marking a strategic rebranding of its removable storage lineup aimed at making product selection easier for consumers while enhancing performance across everyday and professional use cases.
The new naming system replaces Samsung’s previous EVO and PRO series with a simplified “T” and “P” structure. The T-series represents “Trustworthiness,” while the P-series stands for “Peace of Mind,” reflecting Samsung’s effort to create a clearer and more intuitive storage ecosystem.

The Samsung T7 microSD card is designed for everyday users, light gamers, and content creators who need reliable expandable storage across devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and handheld gaming consoles. It offers capacities of up to 1TB and delivers read speeds of up to 170MB/s, supporting smooth daily data storage and transfer needs.

In contrast, the T9 microSD card targets power users, including professional creators and gaming enthusiasts who handle large files and performance-heavy workloads. It delivers faster read speeds of up to 200MB/s and includes six-layer durability protection for enhanced reliability. The card is optimized for demanding devices such as drones, action cameras, and high-performance mobile systems.
Both product lines are built on Samsung’s updated removable storage strategy, which consolidates its portfolio into a more streamlined and user-friendly structure. The goal is to help consumers better identify storage solutions based on performance needs rather than complex product naming conventions.
The T7 microSD card is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, while the T9 comes in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options. Pricing starts at ₱3,143 for the T7 and ₱3,929 for the T9, with availability beginning May 5, 2026 through official online platforms including Shopee and Lazada.
Samsung also highlighted a limited-time promotional offer for the T9 microSD card, which includes a free exclusive blindbox while supplies last.
By introducing a clearer branding structure and performance-tiered storage options, Samsung aims to strengthen its position in the competitive removable storage market while addressing the growing demand from mobile gamers, creators, and multi-device users.
