Smart Communications has launched the Smart Home WiFi SIM 99, a 5G-ready SIM designed for compatible Home WiFi routers and aimed at households seeking an affordable way to get online using existing hardware.
Priced at P99, the dedicated Home WiFi SIM comes with 2GB of non-expiring data. It can be used with open-line Home WiFi routers and compatible Smart or PLDT Home WiFi devices with expired or inactive SIMs, allowing users to continue using existing equipment without purchasing a new router.
The prepaid option is positioned for households in areas where fiber connectivity may not yet be available, as well as students, renters, and small businesses that need flexible internet access.
Subscribers can also register for Smart Home WiFi’s BIG DATA and UNLI promos for additional connectivity options. SIM registration is available through Smart’s official SIM Registration portal, while data offers can be managed through the Smart App.
As a 5G-ready SIM, the service provides access to Smart’s 5G network for activities such as video streaming, online gaming, file sharing, and other connected-device applications, subject to network availability and compatible hardware.
Smart said the SIM 99 is now available at Smart Stores, authorized retail outlets and distributors nationwide, as well as through the Smart Online Store.
