Sophos has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises 2026 Vendor Assessment, reinforcing its focus on AI-powered cybersecurity and prevention-first endpoint protection.
The recognition comes as artificial intelligence accelerates vulnerability discovery and cyberattacks, leaving organizations with less time to respond. According to the Sophos AI Security 2026 Report, recently disclosed high-profile vulnerabilities have been exploited within 24 to 36 hours, highlighting the growing challenges of manual patching and threat detection.
Sophos Endpoint uses deep learning AI to detect known and previously unseen malware, including AI-generated and AI-mutated variants, before execution. It also includes more than 60 exploit mitigations enabled by default to help block techniques attackers use to exploit vulnerabilities.
The IDC MarketScape assessment highlighted Sophos’ unified platform, third-party integrations, native identity threat detection, and automation. It also noted demand among small and medium-sized businesses and large enterprises for endpoint security that delivers out-of-the-box protection with minimal tuning.
Sophos Endpoint is part of Sophos Fusion, the company’s AI-native cybersecurity defense system. It combines endpoint telemetry with security signals from other Sophos products and more than 500 third-party integrations, enabling coordinated threat detection, investigation, and response across endpoints, identity, firewalls, email, and cloud environments.
Supported by Sophos X-Ops threat intelligence and real-world incident response insights, the platform draws on intelligence gathered across more than 625,000 organizations protected by Sophos.
The IDC MarketScape assessment, published in September 2026, evaluates technology vendors based on their capabilities and strategies in the enterprise endpoint security market.
