Filipino Gen Z and Millennial consumers are increasingly prioritizing holistic wellness, combining physical health, mental wellbeing, nutrition, sleep and social connections, according to Herbalife’s Asia Pacific Wellness Culture Survey 2026.

The survey found that 79% of Gen Z respondents and 76% of Millennials in the Philippines engage in wellness activities more frequently than they did three years ago, exceeding the national average of 74%. More than half of younger consumers across the region also reported improvements in their personal wellbeing over the same period.

Among Filipino Gen Z respondents, stress management and mental wellbeing ranked as the top areas they wanted to improve, cited by 53%, followed by sleep quality at 45%, emotional wellbeing at 40%, and nutrition at 37%. In response, 53% said they were improving their sleep habits, while 47% were making healthier food choices and reducing unhealthy habits.

The findings also highlighted the growing influence of digital platforms and online communities on wellness habits. More than half of Gen Z respondents said social media positively affected their physical wellbeing (63%), emotional wellbeing (58%) and mental wellbeing (55%). Meanwhile, 65% identified their social circles and 47% their online communities as important influences in developing and maintaining healthier habits.

Millennials, by comparison, rely more heavily on personal relationships, with 64% citing friends and family as positive influences on their emotional wellbeing and 62% on their mental health.

Kinki Lau, general manager of Herbalife Philippines, said younger consumers are increasingly turning to fitness groups, pickleball communities and digital networks for motivation, guidance and accountability.

The findings point to a broader shift in wellness behavior, as younger Filipinos increasingly combine lifestyle changes with social and digital support to build sustainable health habits.
