TELUS Digital Philippines’ Petsa de Power campaign used digital tools and employee insights to make financial wellness support more accessible.

TELUS Digital Philippines has received a Philippine Quill Award for its “Petsa de Power” internal communications campaign, which used digital platforms, employee feedback and educational content to improve access to financial wellness programs for more than 26,000 team members in Metro Manila and Iloilo.

Recognized at the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards, the campaign went beyond a one-time announcement by using employee survey responses and financial concerns to shape year-round communications.

Throughout 2025, TELUS Digital Philippines used email, webinars, e-learning modules, testimonial videos, onsite materials, roadshows and internal digital platforms to provide information about available financial tools and programs.

The campaign supported updates to the company’s Savings Arrangement for Financial Empowerment (SAFE) and HMO coverage, as well as the introduction of Early Wage Access (EWA), which allows employees to access earned wages before their scheduled payday. The company also expanded Pera Paraan, a financial literacy initiative informed by employee feedback.

Digital tools drive program adoption

The communications effort was accompanied by increased use of the financial wellness programs. TELUS Digital Philippines reported more than 11,800 EWA app downloads, nearly 6,800 new SAFE enrollments, and 4,600 additional dependents enrolled in enhanced HMO coverage.

The campaign illustrates how internal communications can combine employee data, digital channels and targeted educational content to make workplace benefits easier to understand and use.

The initiative formed part of TELUS Digital Philippines’ broader employee engagement and retention efforts. During the same period, the company reported a 15% year-on-year decrease in attrition.

The campaign also comes amid broader concerns about financial well-being among Filipinos. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ 2025 Consumer Finance and Inclusion Survey, cited by TELUS Digital Philippines, found that while 74% of respondents correctly answered at least half of six financial literacy questions, only 43% said they were satisfied with their current financial situation.

By combining financial education with accessible digital tools and sustained employee communications, Petsa de Power demonstrates how technology can support workplace financial wellness and benefits engagement.
