Singapore-based AI and digital transformation company Temus has announced a strategic investment in Philippine-founded AI firm Thinking Machines Data Science, strengthening Southeast Asia’s growing artificial intelligence ecosystem and highlighting the region’s expanding AI capabilities.

The investment brings together Temus, a Temasek-established technology company, and Thinking Machines Data Science, a Manila-founded AI and data specialist recognized as OpenAI’s first official Services Partner in Asia Pacific and an OpenAI Advanced Partner.

Founded in 2015 by Stephanie Sy, Thinking Machines has spent the past decade helping organizations build data platforms, deploy AI solutions, and train professionals in AI technologies. The company has trained more than 10,000 professionals and implemented hundreds of AI systems across industries including financial services, retail, conglomerates, and the public sector.

The partnership aims to help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and pilot projects by providing end-to-end support for production-grade AI deployments. Together, the companies will address common challenges faced by organizations adopting AI, including fragmented data environments, legacy infrastructure, workflow complexity, governance requirements, and workforce readiness.

Thinking Machines contributes expertise in AI implementation, data engineering, governance, and OpenAI-enabled services, while Temus brings large-scale enterprise transformation capabilities, consulting services, cloud engineering, and regional delivery infrastructure.

Stephanie Sy, Founder and CEO of Thinking Machines Data Science, said the partnership supports the company’s mission of proving that the Philippines can build and scale world-class AI capabilities. The investment will allow Thinking Machines to expand its reach across Southeast Asia while continuing to serve its existing clients and mission.

Temus, which employs around 500 professionals, supports digital transformation initiatives across Singapore and the broader region, including projects aligned with Singapore’s Smart Nation and National AI Strategy programs.

The collaboration reflects growing regional demand for enterprise AI solutions that move beyond proof-of-concept projects and deliver measurable business outcomes. It also signals increasing international confidence in Philippine AI talent and innovation, opening new opportunities for local enterprises to access advanced AI technologies, data platforms, workflow transformation services, and adoption support.

As organizations across Southeast Asia accelerate AI investments, Temus and Thinking Machines aim to provide the infrastructure, expertise, and governance frameworks needed to deploy AI systems at scale and integrate them into real-world business operations.
