Tencent has announced wider international access to Tencent Hy3, its latest large language model (LLM), as the company accelerates efforts to bring advanced AI capabilities to developers, enterprises, and end users worldwide.

Formerly known as Tencent Hunyuan, Hy3 is now available through multiple platforms, including Tencent WorkBuddy, Tencent Design Miora, and Tencent Cloud TokenHub. Tencent said the expanded rollout is designed to help organizations move from AI experimentation to real-world deployment across business and productivity environments.

According to Tencent Cloud International, users worldwide can access Hy3 free of charge through WorkBuddy until August 31, 2026. Developers can also integrate the model through APIs, coding environments, third-party platforms, and enterprise applications.

The model has gained significant traction since its launch on July 6, recording more than 68 times the API call volume of its predecessor and reaching the top spot on OpenRouter’s global LLM usage leaderboard within a week of release.

Hy3 is built on a hybrid fast- and slow-thinking Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture featuring 295 billion parameters, with 21 billion active parameters and support for up to 256,000-token context windows. Tencent said the model delivers competitive performance in reasoning, coding, instruction following, in-context learning, and AI agent applications while maintaining efficiency.

The company noted that Hy3 has been refined using feedback from millions of users across Tencent’s ecosystem, helping improve reliability and performance in practical use cases such as software development, financial analysis, office productivity, design workflows, and game production.

Tencent is also integrating Hy3 into its AI-native products. WorkBuddy enables users to perform research, data analysis, content creation, and workplace tasks through natural language prompts, while Tencent Design Miora uses AI agents to generate graphics, videos, 3D assets, and user interface designs from text-based instructions.

For enterprises, Tencent Cloud TokenHub provides access to Hy3 alongside other leading AI models through a single API. The platform includes intelligent model routing, usage governance, and flexible pricing options to help organizations manage AI workloads at scale.

Tencent is further expanding Hy3’s reach through partnerships with regional technology providers, including South Korea’s Cafe24 and Japan’s Metelix, enabling businesses to access the model through local AI platforms and gateway services.

In support of a broader AI ecosystem, Tencent has released Hy3 under the commercially permissive Apache 2.0 license through major open-source communities such as Hugging Face and ModelScope. The move allows developers to customize, deploy, and build applications using the model in their own environments.

Tencent said Hy3 is supported by its global cloud infrastructure, which spans 66 availability zones across 23 regions and more than 3,200 acceleration nodes worldwide, providing the foundation for enterprise-scale AI deployments.
