vivo Philippines showcased the imaging power of the vivo V70 during a Photography Masterclass led by renowned Filipino fashion photographer BJ Pascual on April 30, 2025, highlighting how smartphone photography is evolving into a professional creative tool.
The masterclass demonstrated the vivo V70’s ZEISS co-engineered camera system, featuring five focal lengths designed to replicate the versatility of professional camera setups. During a live fashion shoot with Nicole Cordoves, Pascual showed how the smartphone could capture cinematic portraits, editorial compositions, and detailed close-up shots using multiple zoom perspectives.
A key highlight was the ZEISS Multifocal Portrait feature, particularly the 85mm and 100mm focal lengths. According to Pascual, the 85mm lens delivers flattering portrait compression for natural-looking facial shots, while the 100mm focal length enhances close-up detail and subject isolation for editorial-style photography.
The vivo V70 also integrates ZEISS Style Bokeh effects, including the ZEISS Sonnar style for cinematic blue-yellow tones and soft lens flares, alongside the ZEISS Planar style for refined portraits with softer contrast and muted color tones.
Another featured technology was AI Stage Mode, originally developed for concerts and live events. The feature uses AI enhancement and long-range zoom optimization to improve clarity and facial detail in challenging lighting conditions.
The smartphone’s camera setup includes:
- 1x main camera with a 50MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera for environmental portraits and realistic image rendering
- 3x mid-telephoto focal length for balanced subject separation and street-style portrait photography
- 10x super telephoto zoom with AI-enhanced stabilization for long-distance and event photography
During the live demo, the vivo V70 demonstrated fast focal length switching and responsive zoom controls, allowing creators to focus more on composition and lighting rather than technical limitations.
The event highlights vivo’s growing focus on AI-powered mobile imaging and smartphone photography innovation, positioning the vivo V70 as a device aimed at creators seeking professional-style photography in a compact mobile form.
