Wattpad, the global digital storytelling platform and online writing community, is returning to the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) from September 9 to 13, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The return highlights the continued influence of digital publishing in the Philippines, one of Wattpad’s largest global markets. The platform will showcase Filipino writers whose stories have attracted millions of online readers and have been adapted into television and film projects.
Digital storytelling takes center stage
Throughout the five-day event, Wattpad will operate an interactive booth where visitors can participate in a “Reader Passport” challenge, collect anniversary merchandise, and meet some of the platform’s popular Filipino authors.
Featured writers include Knightinblack, author of Hell University with more than 183 million reads; beeyotch, author of Seducing Drake Palma with more than 85 million reads; and CeCeLib, author of the Possessive series with more than 80 million reads.
Wattpad will also partner with The Hershey Company for an in-booth activation featuring creators eatmore2behappy, author of Ang Mutya Ng Section E with more than 171 million reads, and 4reuminct, author of The Rain in España with more than 161 million reads.
The September 12 meet-and-greet will include chocolate sampling, an interactive game, and signed copies of special branded story editions.
A panel discussion titled “Just One More Chapter” will take place on September 11, bringing together prominent Wattpad writers to discuss their stories, inspirations, and creative journeys.
