AIA Philippines Launches AI-Powered Training Platform for Financial Advisors

AIA Philippines is expanding its use of artificial intelligence with the launch of “AI Roleplay,” an AI-powered training platform designed to help AIA Life Planners improve customer communication, objection handling, and advisory skills through simulated real-world conversations.

Integrated into AIA’s Master Planner digital ecosystem, the new platform uses AI-generated customer personas and scenarios to prepare Life Planners for increasingly complex financial discussions. Simulations include conversations with parents managing household budgets, clients concerned about insurance affordability, and customers hesitant about long-term financial commitments.

The platform delivers real-time feedback on communication fluency, emotional engagement, insurance knowledge, and sales interactions, helping advisors strengthen both technical expertise and emotional intelligence before meeting actual clients.

According to Melita Teo, the initiative reflects the company’s belief that AI should enhance—not replace—the human side of financial advisory services.

AIA Philippines also highlighted the platform’s support for English, Tagalog, and Taglish conversations, making it one of the few AI training systems in the insurance sector designed around localized Filipino communication patterns.

The AI Roleplay platform was initially tested through a pilot program involving new Life Planners, agency leaders, recruiters, and top-performing advisors before being rolled out nationwide.

The company said the initiative is part of its broader digital transformation strategy focused on AI-driven advisor support, scalable training, underwriting efficiency, and improved customer engagement across the insurance journey.

Through mobile access and 24/7 AI coaching simulations, AIA aims to make advisor training more personalized, accessible, and practical for modern financial conversations.
