Leading Philippine broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. strengthened its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) by integrating digital infrastructure support, workplace initiatives, and content-driven advocacy during Pride Month 2026.

The company took part for the third consecutive year in the LoveLab4n Pride Festival 2026, organized by the Quezon City government and PridePH, held on June 27 at the University of the Philippines–Diliman. As one of Southeast Asia’s largest Pride gatherings, the event drew an estimated 300,000 participants, where Converge employees joined the five-kilometer Pride March and raised the company flag in a public show of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Fiber-powered Pride infrastructure and on-ground digital engagement

Beyond participation in the parade, Converge highlighted its core technology capabilities by fiber-powering the festival’s expo area, ensuring connectivity across booths and event spaces. The company also set up a Pride-themed booth that distributed branded merchandise and interactive materials while showcasing its latest products and services—demonstrating how broadband infrastructure supports large-scale cultural and civic events.

This on-site deployment underscores how telecom infrastructure is increasingly central to enabling high-density public gatherings, where real-time connectivity supports digital engagement, social media sharing, and event operations.

Workplace digital inclusion and SOGIE education initiatives

Ahead of the festival, Converge launched internal digital learning and awareness programs, including a SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression) information webinar for employees in Pasig and Pampanga. The initiative aimed to strengthen workplace awareness on gender equality and inclusive practices within corporate environments.

The company also rolled out Pride-themed bazaars across its offices, bringing together food, mental wellness, and self-expression vendors. Employees were provided rainbow-themed corporate merchandise as part of internal engagement efforts reinforcing inclusion culture.

A key visual milestone of the campaign was the unveiling of the company’s “Rainbow Lane” installed at office entrances, serving as a permanent symbolic installation promoting belonging and acceptance within the workplace environment.

Digital media, AI-era content, and community storytelling

Converge also leveraged its digital content platforms through its original series, The XLounge Podcast, which released a Pride special episode titled “Pride is in Your Fiber.” The episode featured Arizona Brandy, Myx Chanel, and Hana Beshie from RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines.

The discussion explored identity, resilience, and community building, extending Pride conversations into digital streaming ecosystems. Following the recording, attendees experienced a “Drag Xperience” featuring live performances from the queens and performers from Halxyon Club. The episode remains accessible via Converge’s official YouTube channel and Facebook page, reinforcing the company’s push toward multi-platform digital storytelling.

Leadership emphasis on innovation and inclusion

Company executives emphasized that inclusion is closely tied to innovation and workforce performance in a digitally driven economy.

“At Converge, our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) is rooted in our belief that innovation thrives when people feel seen, heard, and valued,” said Converge AVP and Head of Corporate Communications and Employer Branding Princess Gresola.

Meanwhile, Converge SVP and Head of People and Culture Mylene Sardinia highlighted the importance of workplace belonging, noting that embracing individuality strengthens organizational culture and engagement.

The company’s Global Business Group (GBG), based in Bonifacio Global City, also held a hybrid Pride and Father’s Day Fair, combining community engagement with employee wellness and inclusion activities.

Expanding digital infrastructure alongside inclusive growth

As the Philippines continues accelerating its digital transformation, Converge reiterated its broader goal of expanding nationwide fiber infrastructure while embedding inclusive workplace practices into its corporate growth strategy. According to VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations Jay-Anne Encarnado, diversity in teams is seen as a driver of innovation supporting the country’s digital future.
