Garmin has unveiled the Approach S72, a premium golf smartwatch that combines advanced swing analytics, health tracking, and on-course navigation tools to help golfers improve their performance.
Available in 43mm and 47mm sizes, the smartwatch features an AMOLED display, a lightweight titanium bezel, a durable sapphire lens, and a ComfortFit fabric band designed for all-day wear.
The Approach S72 introduces on-wrist swing metrics that measure hand speed, backswing length, wrist rotation, and other movements, giving golfers data-driven insights to refine their technique. Its biometric tracking also records heart rate, allowing players to review how their heart rate patterns may relate to their scores after a round.
Additional golf features include green contour data to help golfers assess putt breaks and slope percentages, aerial hole imagery for shot planning, and putting analytics covering speed bias, direction bias, and make rate. These advanced green-reading and putting features require an active Garmin Golf membership.
Beyond the course, golfers can log driving range sessions through the Garmin Connect app and monitor their fitness with wrist-based heart rate, stress tracking, Body Battery energy monitoring, and advanced sleep tracking.
The Approach S72 also adds a speaker and microphone for phone calls and voice commands, along with a built-in flashlight offering adjustable white light and red light. Garmin rates its battery life at up to 20 hours in golf mode and up to 16 days in smartwatch mode with GPS turned off.
The Garmin Approach S72 will be available in the Philippines starting October 22, priced at PHP 52,990. It can be purchased through Garmin’s official website, Garmin Brand Stores, Garmin Specialty Stores, and official e-commerce platforms.
