GCash is strengthening its digital travel ecosystem with the promotion of GInsure Travel Insurance and Travel eSIM services, offering Filipino travelers more accessible protection and mobile connectivity for local and international trips.
The mobile finance platform said the bundled travel-focused services are designed to help users manage common travel disruptions such as flight delays, lost baggage, medical emergencies, and connectivity issues while traveling abroad.
Available through the GInsure Marketplace inside the GCash app, GCash users can purchase travel insurance for as low as ₱299 in under five minutes, even up to two hours before departure.
The digital travel insurance package includes up to ₱500,000 in emergency medical assistance, ₱50,000 in travel inconvenience benefits, ₱1 million in personal liability coverage, and ₱1 million in personal accident protection. Coverage also extends to overseas travel, targeting budget-conscious Filipino travelers planning group or “barkada” trips.
Complementing the insurance service is GCash Travel eSIM, which enables travelers to stay connected overseas without changing physical SIM cards. The eSIM service allows users to access mobile data abroad while maintaining uninterrupted access to the GCash app for digital payments and financial transactions.
The offering reflects the growing demand for integrated travel technology solutions among Filipino consumers, combining fintech, digital insurance, and mobile connectivity into a single mobile platform.
GCash said the initiative aligns with changing consumer behavior, where travelers increasingly prioritize financial preparedness, digital convenience, and flexible mobile services while traveling.
