The IBP: Cebu Tricity Marathon is set to make a bigger comeback in October 2026 at Robinsons Galleria Cebu, bringing an upgraded race experience for runners, fitness enthusiasts, and the general public.
Now in its fourth edition, the event—formerly known as the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cebu Run—will feature a more immersive course spanning Cebu, Mandaue, and Talisay. The expanded tri-city route is designed to challenge participants while showcasing the urban landscapes of Metro Cebu.
Organized by the Young Lawyers Association of Cebu, Inc. (YLAC), the marathon continues to promote wellness and community impact. This year, it expands its advocacy support to include street dwellers and young cancer patients, turning every kilometer into a contribution to social causes.
A key highlight of the 2026 edition is its enhanced digital race experience powered by Smart Communications, which provides 4G and 5G connectivity throughout the event. The improved network enables runners to track performance, communicate in real time, and share race moments instantly on social media.
Content creator and ultramarathoner Doris Baguio Daño emphasized the importance of connectivity during races, noting how it allows athletes to document and share their journey with their audience.
Event organizers also highlighted that strong connectivity enhances safety, coordination, and engagement for participants, while adding value through exclusive Smart offers and raffle prizes on race day.
Registration for the IBP: Cebu Tricity Marathon 2026 is open until August 31, 2026.
