Kingston Technology has announced a major milestone with more than 100 million units of its Kingston A400 SATA solid-state drive shipped globally since its launch in 2017.

The Kingston A400 SATA SSD became a popular upgrade option for consumers and businesses looking to improve system performance over traditional hard drives. Featuring read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s respectively, the SSD delivers faster boot times, quicker application loading, and improved file transfer performance.

According to Kingston, the strong market adoption of the A400 SSD reflects the company’s continued focus on delivering reliable and high-performance storage solutions for a broad range of users.

The company also highlighted its ongoing investments in next-generation storage technologies, including high-performance NVMe SSDs, enterprise data center storage, and industrial-grade SSD solutions designed for modern computing environments, edge deployments, and mission-critical applications.

Since its introduction, the A400 series has remained one of Kingston’s most recognized storage products in the consumer SSD market, helping accelerate the shift from mechanical hard drives to solid-state storage solutions.
