The event also provided a firsthand look at Roblox’s age-based accounts, parental controls, new creation tools, and the growing community of creators in the Philippines.

Roblox showcased its evolving platform ecosystem at the “UNBOX ROBLOX” event in Manila, giving members of the media a hands-on look at how the platform is being used for gaming, creation, learning, social interaction and immersive entertainment.
The familiarization session allowed participants to explore Roblox through four perspectives: player, parent, creator and partner. Guided demonstrations and discussions with the Roblox team highlighted how the platform is expanding beyond gaming while introducing new tools and safety features.
Roblox highlights age-based accounts and family tools
From the player perspective, the session explored Roblox experiences across gaming, music, learning and entertainment. It also highlighted the platform’s age-based Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts, introduced earlier this year for users under 9 and under 15, respectively.
For parent lens, Roblox demonstrated Family Zone, launched in July 2026. The interactive feature is designed to help parents and children explore Roblox together, while parental controls and educational resources provide families with additional visibility and guidance over children’s digital experiences.
New mobile creation tools lower barriers for creators
The creator lens focused on Roblox Studio, the platform’s development environment for building and publishing experiences.
Roblox also showcased Build, a mobile-first creation tool within the Roblox app. The feature allows users to turn text prompts into a starting game that they can iterate, playtest and publish without leaving the app.
The event also highlighted the growing Filipino Roblox creator community, including creators Theo (@sausagerate) and Clark (@clarck2317). Their experiences demonstrate how Filipino developers can use Roblox Studio to create content capable of reaching audiences globally.
The partner lens, meanwhile, demonstrated how brands, artists and organizations can use Roblox to develop immersive experiences and engage communities. Programs on The Block showcased applications spanning entertainment, music and interactive engagement.

“The best way to understand Roblox is to experience it,” said Papri Dev, Head of APAC Communications at Roblox. “By exploring the platform from different perspectives, we hope to showcase how innovative Roblox is, demonstrate safety by design, and highlight the vibrant community that makes it what it is.”
The Manila event underscored Roblox’s broader technology ecosystem, where user-generated content, AI-assisted creation tools, age-based experiences and safety features are increasingly shaping how users interact with the platform.
