Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is expanding the benefits of its Infinity Plans with ROAM+, an annual roaming wallet designed to give premium subscribers international mobile connectivity across multiple trips within a 365-day period.
The service provides up to 40GB of international roaming data, credited at the beginning of the subscriber’s contract year. Instead of arranging a separate roaming package for every trip, Infinity members can use their allocated data across multiple overseas journeys while keeping their primary Smart number and managing connectivity through a single bill.
Roaming data managed through the Smart App
ROAM+ also allows Infinity members to monitor their roaming data balance through the Smart App, giving subscribers a digital way to keep track of their connectivity while traveling.
The annual roaming allocation depends on the Infinity Plan:
- Infinity Plan 3500: 6GB
- Infinity Plan 5000: 20GB
- Infinity Plan 8000: 30GB
- Infinity Plan 9500: 40GB
The annual wallet approach is designed to reduce the need for customers to repeatedly activate roaming allocations or find alternative connectivity solutions whenever they travel overseas.
Smart said mobile connectivity has become an important part of the modern travel experience, supporting functions such as navigation, maps, online bookings, translation, tourist information and communication with family, friends and colleagues.

Smart shifts roaming toward an annual connectivity model
Lloyd R. Manaloto, First Vice President and OIC of Smart, said ROAM+ changes premium roaming from a service arranged on a trip-by-trip basis into an annual connectivity allocation.
“ROAM+ represents a shift in how premium roaming can be designed, that is, from a service that customers arrange for individual trips into an annual roaming wallet that is ready whenever they need it,” Manaloto said.
ROAM+ complements other Smart Infinity benefits, including Worldwide Concierge Services, complimentary airport lounge access, access to the Infinity Collection, dedicated Relationship Manager support and 24/7 priority assistance at Smart Stores nationwide.
For frequent international travelers, the service combines roaming data, digital account management and a single mobile number into a more streamlined connectivity experience.
