SailPoint has unveiled a new identity security solution designed to help organizations manage and secure both human and machine identities as AI adoption accelerates across enterprises.

The company announced the launch of the SailPoint Identity Security solution, which combines the newly available SailPoint Agentic Fabric with SailPoint Human Fabric, an evolution of its Identity Security Cloud platform. The unified offering aims to provide continuous discovery, governance, and protection of identities in real time.

The announcement comes as enterprises face growing security challenges from AI agents and machine identities. According to SailPoint research, 97% of AI agents have access to sensitive data, while only 21% of organizations are highly confident in their ability to manage AI agent security risks.

Powered by the SailPoint Atlas platform, the solution integrates human and machine identity management into a single security framework. The company said this approach moves identity security beyond periodic compliance checks toward continuous monitoring and automated risk remediation.

The Human Fabric component introduces real-time governance capabilities designed to reduce identity-related risks. Features include automatic detection of privilege creep, integration of identity intelligence into security operations workflows, and Just-In-Time Provisioning (JIT-P) that grants administrative access only when required. The goal is to help organizations move closer to Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP) security models.

Meanwhile, the Agentic Fabric addresses the rapid growth of AI and machine identities. The platform uses endpoint and browser sensors to identify hidden AI agents, credentials, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that may evade traditional security tools. It also provides controls such as inline prompt security to prevent sensitive data exposure, a centralized kill switch for rogue AI agents, and automated ownership policies that assign accountability for machine identities.

SailPoint said the new solution is designed to help organizations securely adopt AI technologies while maintaining visibility and control over both human and non-human identities. The Identity Security solution is now available through the company’s Agentic Business and Agentic Business Plus suites.
