A new Herbalife survey shows that wellness culture is gaining momentum in the Philippines, with 91% of Filipinos saying holistic health is very or extremely important as they increasingly focus on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The findings come from the Herbalife APAC Wellness Culture Survey 2026, which gathered responses from more than 10,000 consumers across 11 Asia-Pacific markets, including the Philippines. The study highlights a growing shift toward preventive and sustainable wellness practices supported by greater health awareness and lifestyle changes.

According to the survey, Filipinos are paying closer attention to key aspects of their well-being, particularly sleep quality (47%), mental wellness and stress management (44%), nutrition quality (36%), and emotional well-being (32%). The results suggest that consumers are adopting a more comprehensive approach to health rather than focusing solely on physical fitness.

Among the factors driving this wellness trend are aging (56%), personal health scares (48%), and the desire for more energy (42%). The survey also found that wellness habits are becoming increasingly integrated into daily life, with respondents reporting healthier food choices (56%), improved sleep habits (55%), and reduced unhealthy behaviors (49%) as their most common activities.

Despite growing awareness, challenges remain. Only two in five respondents across the Asia-Pacific region said their physical, mental, and emotional health is better today than it was three years ago. Lack of time and stress were identified as the biggest barriers to maintaining healthy routines, with both cited by 39% of respondents.

The study also highlights the growing influence of communities and digital platforms on wellness behaviors. Family and friends, along with social media, were identified as the top sources positively influencing health decisions. Many respondents expressed a desire for stronger support systems to improve their physical (73%), mental (55%), and emotional health (50%).

“Wellness has become more personal and more intentional. More Filipinos are making conscious choices to care not only for their physical health, but also for their mental and emotional well-being,” said Kinki Lau, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines.

The findings reflect the broader rise of wellness culture across the region, where consumers are increasingly leveraging information, communities, and digital resources to build healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
