TCL has introduced Super-QD MiniLED (SQD-MiniLED), its latest display technology designed to improve picture quality through more precise light control, enhanced color accuracy, and a more immersive viewing experience.
Built on the company’s Mini LED expertise, SQD-MiniLED combines three core innovations: Precise Dimming for improved backlight control and reduced halo effects, Super QLED for a wider color gamut and higher color purity, and the Ultra Color Filter, which uses sub-5-nanometer particles to deliver more accurate color reproduction.

According to TCL, the new technology also enables higher brightness, better contrast in dark scenes, smoother motion, and slimmer TV designs.
The company highlighted its strong position in the global TV market, citing Omdia data that ranked TCL as the No. 1 brand worldwide for 75-inch-and-above TV shipments and Mini LED TV shipments in 2025, while also leading global Google TV shipments from 2021 to 2025.
TCL’s flagship X11L, described as the world’s first SQD-MiniLED TV, recently received the Innovative Display Technology Gold Award at CES 2026 during the GTB Awards, recognizing its advancements in premium display technology.
As demand grows for larger screens and higher-quality viewing experiences, TCL said SQD-MiniLED represents its next step in advancing display innovation for the global television market.
