TransUnion Philippines has appointed Avishek Ghosh as its new Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) for the Asia Pacific region, strengthening the company’s push toward data-driven innovation and identity-based intelligence.

Based in Hong Kong, Ghosh will oversee TransUnion’s regional data and analytics strategy, managing the full data value chain including data acquisition, advanced analytics, modeling, insight generation, and quality enhancement. His role will support the company’s efforts to accelerate innovation and sustainable growth across Asia Pacific.

Ghosh brings more than 17 years of international banking and analytics experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President at HSBC, where he led unsecured lending operations across nine Asian markets. He also holds a master’s degree in statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata.

The appointment comes as TransUnion integrates its regional analytics functions—including Data Science and Analytics, Data Asset Management, and Data Strategy—under a unified leadership structure to strengthen governance, analytics capabilities, and secure data management.

According to Marie Claire Lim Moore, data and analytics are becoming increasingly critical in addressing fraud risks, financial uncertainty, and the growing need for evidence-based decision-making across the region.

Ghosh said the company’s focus on responsible data use and advanced analytics will help financial institutions, businesses, and consumers navigate a rapidly evolving digital economy while improving transparency and resilience.
