Ford Racing celebrated its first Formula 1 podium finish in 23 years after Max Verstappen secured third place for Oracle Red Bull Racing at the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix.
Powered by Red Bull Ford Powertrains, Verstappen climbed from sixth on the grid to finish on the podium following strategic tyre management and a key on-track battle with Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari. The result marks a major milestone in Ford’s Formula 1 return partnership with Red Bull Racing.
Verstappen also added points during the Sprint race with a seventh-place finish, while teammate Isack Hadjar delivered his strongest result of the season with a fifth-place finish in Montreal.



Meanwhile, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson secured seventh place after a solid race strategy, although teammate Arvid Lindblad was forced to retire before the race began.
According to Mark Rushbrook, the podium finish highlights the progress made by Red Bull Ford Powertrains since the partnership began in 2022 and reflects the engineering advancements developed under Formula 1’s new engine regulations.
The Formula 1 season now heads to Monaco Grand Prix, where Ford and Red Bull Racing aim to build on their momentum from Montreal.
